– Mike Roman, chief executive officer and chairman, 3MThis position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military environments to a 3M career.The Impact You’ll Make in this RoleAs the Payer Segment Marketing Manager, you will lead out in defining marketing strategy and execution targeting the Healthcare Payer segment for a series of 3M products, including early-stage growth products.
You will collaborate with business unit stakeholders to ensure the marketing plans and activations support strategic vision and divisional financial objectives.
You will also collaborate with marketing communications to execute on marketing plans.
Coordination and follow-through with sales will critical to your success.
You will be accountable to develop and activate strategic marketing initiatives including:* Situational analysis* Competitive assessment* Segmentation, targeting, and positioning* Persona development and customer journey mapping* Value proposition and key messaging development* Creation and effective distribution of compelling content* Campaign tracking and measurement* Event marketing* Sales enablementYour Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:* Bachelor’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institutionOR* High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution and fourteen (14) years of experience in Marketing* Seven (7) years of experience working within or marketing/selling directly to health plans or other relevant risk-bearing entities.Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:* MBA degree with an emphasis in Marketing from an accredited institution* Experience with healthcare IT, particularly addressing the healthcare payer segment* A working knowledge of healthcare reimbursement models and processes, including any or all of the following: risk adjustment, clinical and claims analytics, care/utilization management, payment audit, value-based payment* An understanding of the roles, processes and organization within major health insurance firms* Skills include the ability to rapidly master complex issues, strong communication and presentation abilities, strong organization, effective collaboration, and strategic decision making.Location: Salt Lake City, Utah or remoteTravel: May include up to 25% travelRelocation Assistance: Is not authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life
