Utility CDL Field Truck Operator

Position Summary Utility CDL Field Truck Operator-SSES Specialist should enjoy working outside and will be primarily responsible for the accurate collection of data and safe transporting and operating of all equipment associated with hydro excavation.

Responsibilities Provide a safe work environment for all employees daily and ensure that proper safety procedures are followed Driving a Combo Jet/Vacuum Truck to, from and around assigned worksites Operating the Combo Jet/Vacuum truck to clean sanitary and storm collection systems Inputting and recording job information on a tablet type device Monitoring maintenance of the vehicle; coordinating repairs and routine maintenance when needed Properly completing daily DOT vehicle inspections Proficient using simple hand tools and troubleshooting mechanical and electronic issues Assisting CCTV operator as needed throughout the day Maintaining all required fuel logs and DOT paperwork Interacting positively and professionally with the community, the public, and numerous municipal organizations and utility clients Other duties as assigned by management Qualifications Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative Individuals who prefer hands on jobs and working outside in all types of weather Current valid Class B CDL with an air brake and tanker endorsement (or be willing/able to obtain air brake and tanker endorsement immediately), clean MVR Current DOT physical examination (ability to obtain and maintain a medical examiner’s certificate (MEC)) Reliable transportation Individuals who can walk on terrain types, work in confined spaces, bend, squat and lift/carry up to 75 pounds Ability to travel 2 to 3 weeks at a time as needed, work weekends and work some nights.

Travel could be upwards of 80% of time based on project locations.

Ability to work 50+ hours weekly.
