BASIC PURPOSE and OBJECTIVE:To transport Inbound retail feed bagged products as well as the movement of those products between locations to facilitate optimal inventory efficiency within UFCis 11 retail feed locations.ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITES:The essential duties of the Retail Feed Route Truck Driver are to operate a semi-tractor and dry van trailer hauling bagged feed picked up at Vendors in Iowa, Nebraska and Missouri and moving bagged retail feed products between the 11 UFC Retail Feed locations; the loading and unloading of the van trailer using forklifts, hand trucks and electric pallet jacks; record keeping and truck and trailer daily maintenance, and other duties as assigned by the Feed Department manager and Direct Supervisor.The Retail Feed Route Truck Driver will maintain a positive attitude that promotes teamwork within the cooperative and a favorable image of the cooperative and adhere to and promote the United Farmers Cooperative Core Values: United, Friendly, Connected, Committed and Visionary.Safety, Compliance and MaintenanceUphold cooperative policiesEnsure that equipment meets all federal and state regulationsPerforms required preventative maintenance and have all preventative maintenance reports turned in on time.Promote safety and follow all United Farmers Cooperative HACCP, FDA and OSHA safety guidelinesMaintain a Class A CDL licenseOther DutiesProjects a positive attitude to customers and employees at all times.Provides outstanding and courteous customer service.Read and follow company employee policies.Assist in loading and unloading company and customer vehicles with product as neededThe Retail Feed Route Truck Driver will perform any other duties as assigned by the Feed Department ManagerQUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or general education degree (GED)Class A CDLEXPERIENCE and SKILLS:1-2 yearsi related experience and/or training preferredAgricultural background preferredDemonstrate strong customer service skillsGood written and oral communication skillsTechnical experience working with equipment.Must be able to manage time effectively and efficientlyPOSITION OFFERS:Growing cooperative with excellent facilities and updated equipment.Competitive compensation with an excellent benefits package.Excellent retirement benefits package with pension plan.Disclaimer: This job description indicates the general nature and minimum level of work expected.
