Senior Transport Engineer

This position will require working with Sales teams and Engineering stake holder teams to assemble engineering designs and supporting detail to meet customer service needs. This team provides the presales support to Sales for services that cannot be vetted through more automated systems.

• Review incoming requests and use available inventory system and stake holder resources to gather the needed information to complete the design.
• Work site location is flexible.
• Provide engineering designs for more complex services.
• Provide cost support as needed.
• Manage multiple requests at one time.

***This position can be located out of any U.S. based Verizon Hub location. ***
In this hybrid role, you’ll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• A Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience with transport equipment and and HBWcircuit design.
• Ability to work as a team player.
• Knowledge of service design guidelines.
• Excellent work ethic and able to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Ability to keep multiple projects moving forward at the same time.
• Knowledge of ROADM and iEN Transport facilities.
• Knowledge of OSP fiber and structure terminology.
• Knowledge of inventory systems to be used include but not limited to: TIRKS, FIM, PlanNet, DART, CBS/CNE and COFEE.
• Ability to work with stakeholder teams including engineering, IOF engineering, Offer Management, Infrastructure Planning, Marketing, Finance and Network Planning.
