This is a Contract position in Woodbury, NY posted July 29, 2021.
Duties include performing traditional and innovative DPW maintenance, such as asphalt repair and replacement, concrete work, and storm drain maintenance, hydrant maintenance, sewer jetting and Cross-Connection Program.
This team-oriented position shall also have the ability to assist with small equipment field repairs.
Team members will work closely with other City departments to assist with maintenance activities and investigate citizen complaints or concerns.
The desirable candidate must have knowledge of basic mechanical repair practices used to properly maintain assigned equipment, general knowledge of hand tools, and have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, be 18 years of age or older.
A valid driver’s license, Chauffeurs License preferred.
Hours of work would be 7:30am 3:30pm Monday through Friday.
No nights or weekends.
