Knight Transportation: Accounts Management Team Leader (Pl)

This is a Full-time position in Thomas Trailer Court, AZ posted January 10, 2022.

Primary Purpose and Essential Functions: Lead the execution of market objectives for assigned area and/or customers.

Lead a team of customer account managers and ensure each team member meets defined metrics which includes specific goals for revenue, load count, growth, rate and service.Provide strategic leadership to customer account teams.Ensure assigned team members understand customer requirements, procedures and goals through consistent verbal contact.Routinely (at least weekly), address weekly metrics and YOY comparisons with each assigned team member.Provide career development opportunities through work assignments and/or other training opportunities.Manage resources to provide proper staffing, equipment and communication capabilities.Establish new customer relationships and maintain/enhance existing customer relationships.Communicate market objectives, power lanes of assigned areas and customer expectations and account information to team members.Oversee the on-boarding of new customers with assigned account managers.Ensure team provides customers with multiple service offerings from all LOB’s.Actively identify and revive dormant accounts.Create customer scorecards that encompass service, lane volume and commitments.Analyze customer data to identify trends, statistics, and issues and generate concise and actionable insights based on data analysis.Collaborate with Pricing for new bids and/or new opportunities with existing customers.Identify strategic customers and develop actions plans for growth.Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization’s objectives.Skills: Must be able to demonstrate solid judgment and discretion while creating solutions and provide problem resolution to complex issues/circumstances.

Must be able to lead, influence and motivate employees at all levels in a cross functional, diverse and changing environment.

Must possess exceptional interpersonal, decision making and analytical abilities with a creative approach to problem solving.

Must have strong decision making skills with and able to negotiate effectively.

Must be experienced in preparing and delivering compelling arguments and presentations in a way that impacts and influences others and successfully builds coalitions for key initiatives.

Must possess strong analytical skills.Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.Experience Required: 5+years’ experience in customer service, customer relations or sales required.

Previous leadership experience in customer service, customer relations or sales required.

Previous experience in transportation industry required.
