Must possess or be able to obtain a current DOT physical card.
Must meet DOT and company requirements related to drug and alcohol testing.
Must pass a company road test.
Must be willing to spend 4 nights out in the truck each week unless pre-scheduled and approved by management.
Must be willing to pick up and deliver anywhere within North America but predominately operates east of the Mississippi River.
New York City dispatch is optional based upon your preference.
Two years of applicable tractor-trailer driving experience.
Must meet requirements of being 21 years of age or older Responsibilities: Provide on-time service to customers by transporting freight from customers to consignees in adherence to designated pick-up and delivery schedule.
Drive commercial vehicle to destination in accordance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
Operate company vehicle in a safe manner by applying knowledge and skills in maneuvering vehicle at varying speeds in difficult situations such as heavy traffic, inclement weather, and congested areas.
Perform required safety inspections and ensure the vehicle follows regulations necessary to pass Roadside Safety Inspection.
Perform pre-trip, in-route and post trip inspections on equipment as required by the US Department of Transportation.
Ensure equipment defects are reported immediately.
Keep tractor interior clean and orderly.
Ensure safe transport of materials in compliance with federal regulations.
Check for proper preparation of shipping papers and ensure papers and markings on freight agree.
Ensure the vehicle is properly placarded.
Provide a positive representation of the company by demonstrating safe, responsible driving practices.
Must maintain a safe driving record as required as per FFX policies.
Ensure safe transport of materials in compliance with federal regulations.
Check for proper securement of freight.
Check for proper preparation of shipping papers and ensure papers and markings on freight agree.
Ensure the vehicle is properly placarded if needed.
Ensure all transit information (ETA, Arrive and Departs, detention, trailer swap, etc.) is sent back electronically in a timely required to move with shipments is available for inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies each shipment when delivered.
Properly report all accidents involving driver or company equipment and reports any delays due to breakdowns, weather or traffic conditions, or other emergencies electronically and via phone.
Submit all documents required by Federal D.O.T.
and FFX in a timely manner.
Provide management with feedback on work processes and improvement ideas.
Work to understand and support targeted growth plans by referring new potential drivers to join the FFX team.
Fully support all technologies and processes, introduced by FFX, that are intended to improve efficiencies and/or the customer experience.
Support would include adherence to securement, training programs, safety guidelines and processes associated with these systems.
Schedule start times, meals, breaks, and rest periods to meet scheduled times.
Spend 4 nights out in the truck.
New York City dispatch is optional based upon the driver’s preference.
Must participate in random D.O.T.
drug testing program.
