We are looking for a dependable, punctual, and hardworking Commercial Truck Driver to operate a 53 ft refrigerated semi-tractor/trailer to safely deliver produce to various locations in the southeast including Michigan, Georgia, and Florida. This position reports to the Logistics Manager. The Commercial Truck Driver’s duties will also include the following: + Safely operate the semi-tractor/trailer to deliver produce in Belle Glade and seasonally over the road in GA and MI markets. + Routinely check the truck tires for wear and make sure tires have enough air pressure, front and rear lights, fire extinguishers, and the body of the truck for any damage or wear. + Report any malfunctions to the supervisor. + Communicate with office personnel as needed daily and even hourly to get updated information and changes in delivery instructions + Play a key role in keeping Duda’s commitment to exceed customer expectations and deliver produce on time and at the right place Education and Experience : + High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent. + Minimum of 3-5 years delivery driving experience + Possess a valid Class A CDL driver’s license and safe driving record. + Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements + Must be knowledgeable of DOT guidelines Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: + Must be able to speak, read, and write in English to communicate with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records. + Ability to quickly learn and become proficient with the Company’s delivery methods and procedures. + Possess the ability to interpret road maps, and effectively communicate with customers/peers/supervisors. + Must be attentive to detail and ensure accuracy in work assignments. + Successfully pass a background check + Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and DOT Physical Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment: This position requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, climbing heights 48 inches or higher, and moving 50 lbs or more.
