Day & Zimmermann: Heavy Driver (36 Hr Weekend Shift)

Duties include operating a semi-tractor/trailer to transport materials or move heavy equipment, building, etc., as directed.Performs inspection on trucks for proper operating condition, recommends necessary repairs and may make minor adjustmentsPerforms necessary functions to receive, ship out, move, and store material in an efficient and safe mannerPicks orders for line support and shipmentsBuilds dunnage for out shipmentsAssembles various types of merchandiseChecks and/or counts freight for accuracy and/or damage; performs necessary inventory functions and material transactions.Ability to back a loaded trailer to a loading dock or other storage area openingAbility to drive forklift; may load and/or unload trucks as requiredPerforms other duties in the ammunition building process of the same or lower level of difficultySafety awareness and commitment at all timesCommunication skillsDecision-making skillsMathematical skillsEducation: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.Experience: Minimum 3 years OTR experience required, as well as a valid Class A CDL. HAZMAT Endorsement Required. Experience positioning trailers and truck tractors for loading and unloading is required. Experience handling paperwork associated with material movements between warehouse and final destination is required.
