EXPERIENCE THE DIFFERENCE: The Frontier Difference.Frontier Cooperative is hiring a full time Tender Truck Driver with a current CDL-A or B license to work in the Fremont & North Bend, NE area. Hazmat & Tanker endorsements are preferred for this position. However, we will assist the right candidate with obtaining those credentials, if needed. This is a local, home daily position full-time position with full benefits.Whats a TENDER DRIVER? Tender Driver is similar to a ‘shag driver’ position except that a Tender Driver hauls chemicals, fertilizer, seed, etc. to & from our producer’s fields & other Frontier locations whereas a ‘shag driver’ usually delivers products near or around a lot or warehouse. A Tender Drivers primary focus is assisting Applicators while they are in the producer’s fields. Tender Drivers also deliver various chemicals, fertilizers, seeds, & grains.* Tender Truck Drivers are responsible for loading & delivering fertilizers, chemicals, seed, & grain to our producer’s fields, farms, ranches, local businesses, rail shuttles, & other Frontier locations.* Tender Drivers also assist the Operations & Warehouse departments with various warehouse, grain elevator, scale, chem & seed shed duties, including general housekeeping, equipment, building & grounds maintenance.Qualifications & Requirements:* Tender drivers must be adept & skilled at safely operating & maneuvering commercial vehicles with trailers, tanks, &/or totes on gravel & dirt country roads in Nebraska. Tender drivers deliver to a variety of places including producers fields, farms, businesses, ranches, & various other FC locations.* Class A, B, C, Restricted Seasonal or Commercial Learner’s Permit licenses are acceptable for this position. Hazmat & Tanker endorsements, or the ability to obtain within a reasonable amount of time after hire, is required for Tender Drivers.* All employees are expected to adhere to all Company Safety & Operational Policies, DOT, FMCSA, State & Local regulations.* Tender drivers must be able to communicate & interpret work orders in English; inspect, secure, & tarp loads; connect hoses & operate various transfer systems. A general mechanical understanding of equipment is helpful, but not required.* Must be able to work outdoors in all kinds of Nebraska weather as this position exposes you to both indoor and outdoor climates. Tender drivers must be comfortable working around various grains, seeds, dust, various fertilizers & chemicals involved when working at a Grain Elevator.* All employees are expected to maintain a positive, friendly working relationship with coworkers, producers, vendors, & customers. Frontier Cooperative expects every employee to be dependable, reliable, & offer exceptional customer service skills.* In order to offer exceptional products & services to our Producers and Customers, Frontier Cooperative operates on an all-hands-on-deck philosophy, especially during peak spring planting & fall harvesting seasons. Therefore, all employees of Frontier are expected to focus on our customer’s needs at all times & must be willing to help other locations & departments when needed.Skills needed & other notable requirements:* This position is offered as FULL-TIME position with full benefits* Safety First is strictly enforced. Additional Continued Safety Training is provided to all employees annually every Spring and Fall, & any other time additional training is warranted. PPE equipment is provided to all employees when needed.
