To qualify with Bennett Motor Express, drivers must meet the following criteria:

• 23 years of age
• 1 year of OTR/ Regional verifiable experience in the last 3 years or the same type of driving operation they are applying for
• Must be able to read and write in English

Heavy Haul:

• Have experience hauling Over Dimensional loads
• Must have heavy haul permits for verification
• Able to pass Federal D.O.T. Physical and Drug Screen
  • NOTE: We will accept current medical cards with 3 months or more remaining
• No alcohol related offenses in the past 5 years
• No DOT preventable recordable accidents within the past 12 months
• No history of reckless or careless driving in the past 36 months

Over-dimensional Sizes

• Must have experience hauling freight at least 12ft + in height
• Must have experience hauling freight at least 14ft + in width

Accidents:

• No more than 1 preventable in last 12 months
• No more than 2 preventable in last 36 month
• Serious safety violations will be reviewed on a case by case basis

Equipment Requirements:

• Must be ELD Compatible
• Cab mounted Headache Rack on tractor
• Minimum of (10) 1/2 Grade 70 Chains/Binders
• Tarps are optional (Recommend full set for 48ft trailer with 8ft drops)
• Minimum of (10) straps (4″)
• Minimum of (10) winches portable
• Working strobe light (1)
• Center pin on 7 way plug continuously powered (no switch)
• Wide Load Signs (2)
• Flags (10)
