What You’ll Be Doing / Responsibilities Safety Ambassador DriverDrive the Carma Automotive Safety Team vehicle through designated areas and neighborhoods in the Queens/Long Island area using either your own vehicle (mileage is reimbursed) or a company-owned vehicle.Communicate the urgency of an active vehicle recall to vehicle owners by either leaving a safety recall notice on the vehicle or by educating a vehicle owner through (masked) face-to-face interactions.Participate in pilot programs to test new technologies and strategies to notify car owners of safety recalls on their vehicles.
#startupAdhere to strict safety and quality standards on and off the road.Other duties, including occasional overtime, as needed.RequirementsRequirements Safety Ambassador DriverA current driver’s license with a clean driving record (last three years), and can pass a background/drug testWork part-time / WeekendsAccess to a personal vehicle with active car insurance (when Carma Automotive Safety Team vehicles are not available)Ability to operate and learn new technologiesStrong communication skillsExcitement and energy to be a part of a mission-driven company that is making a difference and saving livesBenefitsPay: Hourly.
$20.00/hour base wageBonus: Performance-based bonus with no cap.
Expected to add $2.5-7/hour on top of base pay.Travel opportunities: High-performing Safety Ambassadors may be given the opportunity to train new Safety Ambassadors in new markets across the country as the business scales.Advancement opportunities: High-performing Safety Ambassadors can join the team in full-time operations and strategy positionsCar, fuel, and operating expenses are all covered by the company, which provides the vehicle that Safety Ambassadors use while working.
If personal vehicle is used, fuel and operating expenses are still covered by the company.
