Job Description Commercial Delivery Driver (OFFERING A SIGNING BONUS OF $1000) Imperial Dade is the leading distributor of foodservice packaging, facilities maintenance supplies, and equipment in the U.S.

Founded in 1935 and headquartered in New Jersey, Imperial Dade serves more than 65,000 customers through a footprint of 60 branches Summary To provide reliable and courteous delivery service to customers with safety a top priority; to provide a communication link between customers and staff; to operate and maintainthe assigned vehicle (s), and to maintain vehicle and customer records efficiently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Other duties may be assigned.

Perform a thorough inspection of your vehicle and complete the inspection sheet daily.

Confirm you have a strap, pallet jack, dolly, fuel/DEF in your vehicle.

Perform your route efficiently Successfully deliver the product to our customers in a timely manner without damaging the product, causing an accident, or violating safe practices Participate in monthly safety meetings Communicate and call the dispatch supervisor to report any shortage of product, incorrect product, damaged product, accidents, injuries, broken equipment, customer concerns, customer complaints, customer praises, extended waits, vehicle malfunctions, and warning dash lights Review all invoices for accuracy before leaving for a route Treat customers with courtesy and respect.

Act as a link between the customer and the company Collect COD amounts including cash or check with accuracy Operate vehicle in a safe manner complying with all State of California Department of Motor Vehicles rules and regulations All Class A and B drivers will participate in the D.O.T pull program All Class A and B drivers will maintain D.O.T required logbooks and documentation Must always carry radio during working hours Must provide service regarding deliveries and will calls from vendors.

Must report all accidents the driver is involved in (a written incident report must be completed) All Class B Drivers: must have current Air-brake Certification and Endorsement.

All drivers are required to check the class level of the truck before starting their route.

Drivers are only permitted to drive their own class-level trucks.

(Example: class C drivers are not permitted to drive class B truck) Safety and Security Observes safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions.

Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education and/or Experience Minimum education, High School Diploma, or equivalent 1 to 2 years’ experience driving bobtail trucks Strong understanding of customer and distribution dynamics and requirements Proven leadership and ability to drive constructive change Maintain a clean DMV record Lift and/or move 50 pounds At Imperial Dade, we offer an exciting work environment and invite motivated and talented individuals with a passion for excellence to join our team.
