Telecommunication Engineer

nn nnAs the Senior Telecommunications Engineer your role is to support all Bright Horizons corporate and contact center telecommunications services including but not limited to: Legacy and Cloud base PBX and Contact Center technologies, Voice and Data Telephony Services, Unified Communications, VoIP, SIP, Internet, teleconferencing, mobile and collaborative applications.

The Senior Engineer will also act as a Tier 3 and Tier 4 escalation point for all telecommunications issues and will mentor other telecommunications team members as required.nn nn What you will be doing in this role: nn nn Responsible for the support of the Bright Horizons Corporate, Contact Center and Child Care Center voice telecommunications infrastructure nn nn Responsible for telecommunications upgrades, problem management and telecommunications administration for all telephony services.

nn nn Responsible for documentation of telecommunications inventory and telephony processes and procedures.

nn nn Responsible for management of contact center call flow builds and documentation, management of toll free number inventory and customer database.

nn nn Act as point of escalation with recurring telecommunications issues which includes root cause and remediation.

nn nn Responsible for support of all telecommunications ancillary devices including call recording, dialer, session border controllers, both on premise and cloud based.

nn nn Provide end user training and support for all telecom solutions and devices as required; acts as Tier 3 / Tier 4 support for telecommunications issues.

nn nn Responsible for management of problem ticket queue and management of Telecommunications Team Service Level.

nn nn On call and after hours support required.

nn nn Abide by Bright Horizons Information Security and Confidentiality Policies and Procedures and Embrace ITVision.

nn nn What we hope you will bring to the role: nn nn4 year degree in IT/ Telecommunications desirable.

Comparable experience may be substituted for 4 year degree.nn nnCisco certifications a plusnn nnExtensive hands on experience with Telephony Protocols including: Analog, TDM, VoIP (SIP and H.323),QSIGnn nnExperience installing and supporting PSTN services such as 1FB, Centrex, Central Office and AnalogTrunksnn nnWorking knowledge of Session Border Controllersnn nnExtensive experience with Telephony Traffic Capacity as it relates to call volume using such methods as ErlangB, Erlang C and Poisson Methodnn nnMust have at least 4 years of support experience related to on premise and cloud PBX and Contact Centertechnologiesnn nnMust have at least 4 years of support experience related to on premise and cloud voice recording, work forcemanagement, predictive dialer, voicemail and unified communicationsnn nnExtensive experience supporting MPLS, MOE, DS3, DSL networks, Wireless (802.11 and 900Mz) voicenetworksnn nnExcellent working knowledge of voice codecs including G.729, G.711nn nnExperience with supporting Toshiba, Nortel, Cisco, Lync and Avaya PBXnn nnExperience installing and supporting Video Conferencing platforms.nn nnExperience working with diverse teamsnn nnThis role has the following employment benefits:nn nnHealth Carenn nnRetirementnn nnSick Leavenn nnVacationnn nnPaid Holidaysnn nnDisability Insurancenn nnLife Insurancenn nnTuition Reimbursementnn nnThe compensation for this role starts at $90,000.
