Survey Party Chief

SLR International Corporation is seeking a Survey Party Chief to work in our growing Land Surveying team in our Cheshire, Connecticut office to work on a wide variety of land surveying projects in the New England and New York area.

The candidate should have a strong work ethic, enjoy working outdoors in a technical capacity, working individually or in a team, willing and eager to learn, and looking to take on more responsibility.

Job Description

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field from accredited college or university
• Minimum of three years of field experience
• Proficiency in the operation of Trimble Robotic Total Stations and GPS data collection
• AutoCAD experience preferred
• Experience in performing land record research
• Valid driver’s license

• Excellent oral and written skills to communicate with crew members, project managers, and clients

• Ability to perform boundary, topographic and bathymetric surveys and construction staking/layout

Physical Demands

Field work and travel are expected to be a part of this position.
