**Description****Purpose**This individual will be required to operate survey instruments and be required to perform surveys as directed by management.**Key Responsibilities****At the Operational and Company Level**+ Assist the field supervisor with all aspects of the daily crew workload.+ Daily, work safely and in compliance with all safety regulations.+ Daily care of instruments and vehicle.**Do the Work**+ Work as a member of a survey crew performing boundary, topography, ALTA, right-of-way, and construction surveys for public and private clients.+ Set-up and operate survey equipment, including total-station, data-collector, level, and GPS+ Perform survey calculations.+ Perform all aspects of stakeout and locations surveys using applicable survey equipment.+ Maintain survey equipment used and keep survey truck stocked with necessary supplies and tools.+ Coordinate work of assigned subordinate personnel.+ Assist and train personnel in lower-level positions.+ Make accuracy and calibration checks and adjustments on equipment used.**Success Metrics**+ Be self-reliant and able to operate independently.+ Ability to ask for additional direction and assistance when needed.+ Works effectively with internal leaders as well as external clients.+ Have a sense of urgency in responding to constituents.+ Have a strong element of quality control / attention to detail at all levels.**Minimum Requirements**+ High school diploma or GED required.+ College or technical courses in mathematics and surveying.+ Minimum of one to two (1-2) year’s survey or construction related experience preferred.
