Substitute Teacher

This is a Full-time position in Parkton, MD posted April 24, 2021.
Our Lady of Grace Pre-School has an opening for a Subsitute. The Substitute assists teacher in coordinating a classroom of active children. Performs a variety of activities that ensures the health and safety of the group. Reports to the teacher and the director.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assists in executing daily activities with children.
- Activities/Concentration on Large Muscle, Language Development and Socialization Skills.
- Provides direct support to children who need additional help.
- Feeds and diapers children.
- Assists in toilet training the untrained.
- Cleans and organizes classroom.
Qualifications:
- 90 Hour MSDE Preschool Certified or AA degree in ECED preferred
- Knowledge of growth process of children.
- Knowledge of activities that stimulate children.
- Knowledge of safety issues surrounding children.
- Skills in patience.
- Skills in relaying positive reinforcement.
- Skills in positive communication.
- Skills in time management.
- Ability to organize environment.
- Ability to prioritize work.
- Ability to move and react quickly.
- Ability to research needs of children.
