– 2020 The Department of Radiological Sciences at University of California, Irvine is seeking a Specialist (Assistant, Associate, full series) to support the research efforts for the rabbit animal experiments.
We are seeking to hire a highly motivated, dedicated individual with a surgical background, animal research experience.
The candidate will assume responsibilities including: (1) assistance with animal care and use committee submissions and maintenance; (2) ordering of equipment required for surgical and interventional procedures; (3) surgical cut downs of rabbit vessels and tumor implantation in various sites; (4) collection of specimens for processing; (5) preparation and submission of manuscripts, grant proposals and research-related regulatory documentation.
A MD with surgical background and rabbit experience is preferred.
Preference will be given to candidates who can start immediately.
