Job Summary: The Program Specialist is responsible for supporting the administration of a program(s) or department.
May assist with program design, management, and implementation.
Serves as liaison between the program and other departments or the community.
Position may supervise staff or students, provide complex administrative assistance, create promotional materials, and assist in the development of other potential programs.
Position may be responsible for budgetary information.
Additional Department Summary: This is a 9-month renewal contingent position for academic years 2020-2024.
Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and one (1) year of experience as an educator, counselor, or education administrator; OR Master’s degree and some experience as an educator, counselor, or education administrator.
Must have valid U.S.
driver’s license.
Must be at least 21 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report as determined by the insurance carrier.
Skills and Knowledge: Able to lead groups of middle school students.
Ability to manage students in a school setting.
Ability to problem-solve and be organized and on time.
Ability to work collaboratively with groups.
Knowledge of parent communication and collaboration techniques.
Preferred Qualifications: Masters degree in education or related field minimum, at least 2 years of school experience.
