The Preschool at Mishkon is seeking early childhood professionals to join our team. The school has been operating for decades but closed in March
2020 and reopened in August 2021. The school serves children ages 18 months to five years.

We are a play and inquiry based ECC offering rich learning experiences rooted in Jewish values. Our warm and caring school provides a well-rounded curriculum in a facility that supports learning and growth that values its staff.

Candidates for assistant teacher should have completed 12 ECE units and have some knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice.

Expectations:

To work as part of a team (collaborative and flexible) to help lead teachers implement engaging and innovative age appropriate curriculum. To work professionally and cooperatively with families and other early childhood professionals and remain an integral part of our early childhood community for years to come. To have knowledge of Jewish holidays, traditions and Shabbat is preferred but not necessary if comfortable and eager to learn.

Required vaccines: MMR, TDAP/Pertussis, TB test and COVID Vaccine

Education/Experience:

Required—

All ECE units completed, have at least one year of experience in a licensed childcare center.

Preferred—

Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child
Development or a related field. Strong knowledge of Jewish culture and values.

Pay Range:

Co- teacher: $17 and up based on qualifications and experience

Work Schedule:

We are open Monday-Friday

Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10am-5:15pm & Tuesday/Thursday 12pm-5:15pm

Paid time off: sick leave, Jewish and National holidays paid, 2-week Winter and 2-week Spring paid breaks.
