Job Description Mountainside is looking to hire Personal Trainers/ Fitness Instructors located in Canaan, CT Part Time or Per Diem Job Number 599 About the Position: Conduct various group fitness classes Provide one on one individual fitness instructions, tips and tricks Monitor facility equipment for safety and report any concerns or needs to the Wellness Manager Maintain confidentiality of clients records at all times Assist with Climbing Wall as needed Document in Electronic Health Record as assigned Attend staff meetings as necessary Provide great customer service; see that all customers, clients and staff are given prompt and courteous service Maintain cleanliness of facility by cleaning equipment and fitness areas as needed Demonstrate an understanding of all equipment Notify clients and staff when machines are out of working order Deliver safe and effective fitness programs Enforcing all rules that pertain to the fitness and exercise areas on a constant basis Supervise all climbers for safe practices Comply with all federal, state and accreditation regulatory requirements. Schedule: Shifts available 7 days a week 5am-8:30am Qualifications: Strong and personable communication skills Personal Training Certificate and/or Group Fitness Certification required Minimum of high school education or equivalent required Knowledge of exercise equipment Compensation : The base salary for the position is $22.00 to $25.00 per hour. Actual pay is determined based on a number of job-related factors including skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, performance, and working conditions.
