HVAC Instructor

Interactive College of Technology, an accredited 2-year degree granting institution, has openings for daytime instructors in our HVAC department in Newport.

This position represents a great opportunity to give back to the HVAC community.

Instructional areas include basic electricity, controls, service of residential equipment, EPA and NATE certifications.

Job Requirements:

Main Duties & Responsibilities
Instruction of course material Maintain up to date gradebooks Mentor students on the expectations of the HVAC industry Maintain accurate daily attendance records and communicate any attendance concerns Support and enforce school policies and procedures Evaluate achievement of students in technical knowledge and trade skills Submit assigned grading and attendance documentation on deadline
Qualifications
Two years in-field experience Thorough knowledge of the residential HVAC industry including thermostats, air handlers, furnaces (gas and electric), heat pumps, etc.

Experience in teaching & training adults EPA and NATE certifications are a plus
