Golf Instructor – Seasonal

DescriptionThe Prince George’s County Parks and RecreationGolf Courses hold many junior and adult golf programs, both group and individual.We offer a variety of positions throughout the County. Golf Course locations include:* Paint Branch Golf Complex in College Park* Enterprise Golf Course in Mitchellville* Henson Creek Golf Course in Fort WashingtonInstructor and trainer positions require the appropriate training, experience, and/or certifications necessary to facilitate the golf programs. Salary ranges will vary depending on experience and qualifications. Examples of Important DutiesGolf Instructor Aide ($11.50 – $15.00/hr)Responsibilities of theGolf InstructionStaff include:* onsite program registration* information distribution* event preparation* and equipment set-upQualified staff must have the ability to facilitate large group (12-20 participants) activities, while providing the energy to draw in and engage an audience of participants of all ages and abilities through physical activities, fun and games; in addition to performing equipment set-up. Staff must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.Staff must also be willing to drive an oversized vehicle. Candidates must have a valid Class ‘C’ or ‘D’ driver’s license with no more than one (1) point; a minimum of two years of driving experience; and the ability to attain the Commission’s defensive driving certification. Applicants must be at least age 18 years of age.Golf Instructors ($16.00 – $26.00/hr)Instructor positions are located countywide with programs including First Tee, Get Golf Ready, Individual Instruction, and PGA Junior League. Work schedule may include a variety of shifts including weekends. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Instructors must have a valid certification in their discipline, a valid CPR and First Aid certification (or the ability to obtain CPR/FA certification prior to the beginning of work). Supplemental Information* These positions are seasonal/part-time and do not include a benefit package.?* Hourly rate is based on experience.?* A complete background investigation will be completed prior to hire.* All selected applicants must attend mandatory trainings.* Work is indoor and outdoor.* Work schedulesvary, to include evenings and weekends* Positions are located countywide.
