Floater Teacher-Children’s Academy of Hickory Flat*Primary Purpose: * The Floater reports to the Director or Assistant Director.

The Floater provides the children with developmentally appropriate activities, provides a nurturing environment, and interacts with the children, their parents, staff members, and volunteers.

_Major function / responsibilities: _ *The Floater is responsible for: * * Room coverage at lunch and other times when necessary * Maintain classroom control, management, and sanitation * Provide a normal routine by maintaining daily schedule adherence * Must keep the Director and Assistant Director informed concerning staff members, children, and parental issues.

* Maintaining the Center’s policies and procedures * Attend on-going training * Additional duties as needed _*Decision making authority: *_ The Floater must adhere to the policies and procedures of Children’s Academy of Hickory Flat, INC.

He/she is responsible for classroom safety and sanitation.

The Floater must be able to maintain a friendly / professional rapport with the staff members and parents.

The Floater is responsible for supporting and implementing all decisions made by management.

The Floater must notify the owner of any limitations he / she may have in order to perform the essential functions of the job.

The Floater is encouraged to ask questions whenever unsure of a policy.

*Physical Demands: * Demonstrate full range of motion.
