Forrestal Academy is looking for an Early Childhood Teachers and support staff who are looking for a safe, healthy, fun and prosperous role at our beautiful 5 Star child care center (both Full time and Part time opportunities).

An early childhood teacher and child care support staff must have a great love and patience for working with children under the age of 5 and a desire to have an awesome day of learning and playing while effectively engaging best practices in child care.

They earn the trust of the children, parents and gain many benefits afforded to our preschool staff.

Our friendly, caring Admin team’s accommodation and flexibility help to support our child care team to as they thrive and reach goals while maintaining a healthy work and life balance.

Some flexibility in hours is available to assist you with the occasional life challenges as our goal is to nurture a family style culture within our Forrestal family.

Responsibilities
Develop a fun and creative classroom suitable for children in a child care setting.
Use a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, art etc.) to teach children.
Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem while in a child care setting.
Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments in a child care setting.
Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities (shapes, numbers, colors, do crafts etc.).
Support healthy eating during meals prepared by our in-house Chef at our Kid’s Moose Café.
Supervise children in play and nap to ensure they are always safe.
Track children’s progress and report to Admin team and parents.
Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent to standards for child care centers in North Carolina.

COVID Considerations

· We have no parent foot traffic in our Academy – keeps out germs to keep all safer.

· Our beautiful child care center is always professionally cleaned and sanitized.

· We utilize the latest disinfectant technologies including Air Scrubbers and Electrostatic Disinfecting Machine (EDS) provided through a licensed trained and certified provider.

· Our Preschool Academy provides comfortable, breathable face coverings for staff, laundered for you!

· Twice daily health checks for all children and staff in the child care center.

· We do not allow sick children, and have stringent policies to keep them out, to keep you healthier.

· We do not have part time or drop-in child care programs which limits additional germs and less work for you trying to keep up with the morning group verses the afternoon verses who is there all day or only 3 days a week – Our preschool is Full time five days, because that makes for less germs and paperwork.

– $18.00 per hour
