For nearly 25 years, we have provided on-site instructional services within the hospital setting, helping students to continue their academic progress during treatment and successfully reenter the classroom. LearnWell has a network of 180+ dedicated educators that commit themselves daily to embracing our mission and positively impacting generations to come.LearnWell is currently looking for our next creative and passionate teacher to fill a part-time ten month position in Riverside, RI. The certified teacher will work in a unique fast-paced behavioral health facility center; which involves working with adolescent students in a small classroom setting and supporting them academically with common core subjects while they are receiving treatment. Essential functions of the job may include but are not limited to the following:Plan, prepare and deliver daily lesson plans and instructional material in a small group settingHelp students one-on-one if extra assistance is needed on their individual school curriculum.Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instructionCommunicate necessary information regularly to students, hospital and parents regarding student progress and student needsEncourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategiesUpdating daily attendance and creating daily session reports for each studentPosition is 40 hours a week from8:00-4:30 daily, Monday-Friday.
