Our Toddler Co-Teachers provide love, support and encouragement as the infants grow and interact with their world.

Toddler Co-Teachers have the rewarding job of providing the infants/toddlers with the sense of warmth and security that encourages them to explore and try new things.As a member of our teaching team, some of your responsibilities will include:Ensure children are supervised at all times, working with the Head TeacherServe as a back up to Head Teacher covering maternity, sick, and personal leave to facilitate a faster learning curve.Plan and implement activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of the children in the program.Provide various experiences and activities for children including songs, games and storytelling.Conduct activities that introduce math and literacy concepts.Develop culturally appropriate programs and activities.Establish routines and provide positive guidance.Encourages students’ positive self-image and supports individuality, independence, and creative expression.Provide a safe and secure environment for children to feel comfortable.Facilitate FasTracKids program with all enrolled students.Maintains accurate and timely educational assessments and progress notes for all assigned students.Maintains ratios at all times, keeps attendance records of children throughout the day.Train and supervise teacher assistant and teacher in training within the classroom.Clearly and effectively communicate in a manner that children understand.Ensure equipment and the facility is clean, well maintained and safe at all times.Maintain communication with parents of their child’s progress.Maintain demonstration logs and lessons.Assist in planning school wide events and curriculum.Create and update games and workshops.Conduct parent/teacher conferences throughout the school year to discuss the child’s progress.Attend four Saturday and four weekday Teacher in-service days throughout the school year.Attend all weekly staff meetings and weekly teacher curriculum meetings.Participate in Mentor/Mentee program and training program.Maintains confidential student, parent and/or school information in accordance to company policies.Performs all such related and non-related duties as may be assigned from time to time.What Apple Montessori Schools can offer you:Competitive medical, dental, and vision benefits for eligible employees.Company paid Life & AD&D InsuranceVoluntary Benefits through AflacApple Academy and our ongoing professional development program will give you the tools you need to succeed in a Montessori classroom.Paid time off that helps create a work-life balance for eligible employeesCareer Path Opportunities – Grow with AppleStaff Appreciation Days because our employees rock.

Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent or CDA Certification.Must complete Montessori Certification during first year of employment.Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), First Aid and AED certified.Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to initiate and maintain working relationships with all levels of staff.English literate.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to multi-task in a classroom setting.The Health & Safety of our Children and Staff is our top priority and we are working diligently to follow and exceed guidelines set by the CDC and all federal, state, and local health officials.
