Warehouse Associate

This is a Contract position in Houston, TX posted July 24, 2021.

As an item fulfillment and warehouse team member, you’ll play a vital role in achieving production goals in the fulfillment work center.

You’ll utilize some heavy equipment and industrial-grade materials, and you may also be cross trained in other areas, to support overall company goals.

As part of long-term planning, you could play a critical role in the training and development of future Fulfillment Team Member’s.

On a daily basis, you will be responsible for completing predetermined prioritized-orders, while communicating effectively to peers and management within the department.

Assist with the operation of warehouse, storeroom and general building infrastructure; receiving, stocking, processing and distributing product.

Mentor and coach new and current production associates Ensure work stations, tools, and tool logs are maintained and updated accordingly Assist to Identify and communicate any defects or non-conformances Suggest and work with cross-functional departments to implement improved production and tooling methods Create and maintain procedures for use in the production area Assist the Supervisor to oversee daily and weekly goals, ensuring customer delivery dates are met Maintain daily production logs to document department performance and potential delays Work with the department manager to solve personnel and staffing issues that may arise Able to safely use standard production equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, hand tools, etc.) Help out where needed as needs arise Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and how your role will impact completion.

Communicate to Management ideas to improve Review your daily production goal, and report potential risks to the Manager Develop inventory control techniques to avoid shortages and excess Maintain flexibility for changing priorities Manage execution on orders and coordinate adjustments for completion Communicate production updates to Manager Receive, inspect and properly store all warehouse product.

Packing and unpacking of products stocked on/off shelves in warehouse.

Perform periodic inventory audits.

Maintain the warehouse in a neat and orderly fashion.

Ensure that all warehouse and general infrastructure paperwork is properly executed to completion.

Load/Unload delivery trucks for disbursement of product.

Perform minor repairs within facilities as needed.

Perform work related tasks as required.

Perform basic janitorial tasks.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks Ability to recognize improvement capabilities Possess adequate verbal and written communication skills Must have the ability to interact well with others Good working knowledge of manufacturing systems, processes, and materials Understanding of responsibilities and the impact on team performance Ability to communicate clearly and effectively Ability to interpret and understand policies and procedures Ability to work cross-functionally as needed High School Diploma or GED Bilingual a Plus
