Small Loans Sales Desk Team Leader

We are seeking an Investment Professional to lead the Small Loan Sales Desk to support Small Loan Fannie and Freddie Mac SBL production in a dynamic and fast paced role with an industry leader in small loan Agency production.

Location is flexible, with a preference to locate in a major Greystone office such as NYC, NY; Rockville, MD; Atlanta, GA; Dallas, TX.

The candidate should have strong leadership skills and will lead a team of screening/production analysts. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead the Small Loan Sales Desk and report to head of Sales Services and head of Small Loan Production
• Act as product expert internally and with Agency partners for Agency Small Loans (minimum of 3-5 years prior small loan experience required)
• Responsible for building relationships internally with Originators and deals teams, and providing guidance on how to structure Agency small loan transactions
• Provide regular updates and guidance to Originations and Credit teams on weekly calls
• Responsible for managing team that submits all Agency pricing waivers and credit exceptions, along with underwriting assignment
• Responsible for building relationships on behalf of Greystone with Freddie Mac Producers and Fannie National Account Managers to advocate for Greystone transactions and interests
• Act as a production representative to Greystone credit, including participation on weekly credit calls
• Responsible for distribution of Small Loan Agency updates and training material to Greystone Production team
• Manage the Small Loan Bridge platform and relationship with bridge lending partners
• Lead small loan training sessions for Analyst and Originators
• Provide support and input on technology initiatives
• Ad hoc analysis, understanding of small loan P&L, and other functions in support of small loan business

Experience, Skills and Abilities Required:

• 10+ years of real estate finance industry experience, with 3-5 years focused on Small Loans required
• Experience with Agency Finance required
• Strong leadership, team management and collaboration skills
• Bachelors degree required
• Knowledge of MS Office with sufficient Excel skills required
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail
