The role has expert knowledge of store operations, advanced automotive system knowledge and parts knowledge.

This role is responsible for providing advanced automotive problem resolution including identification, trouble shooting and project assistance for DIY customers.

The role has the ability to source from numerous places including special order, FDO, second source, etc.

The role has in-depth knowledge of the store inventory and maintenance processes.

Fleet safety is preferred.nnPrimary Responsibilitiesnxe2x80xa2 Best in class customer service and DIY issue resolutionnxe2x80xa2 Provide GAS3 selling experience for all DIY customers including walk-in, on-line orders and phonenxe2x80xa2 Achieve personal / store sales goals and service objectivesnxe2x80xa2 Manage DIY services including testing, battery installation, wiper installs, etc.nxe2x80xa2 Ensure high standards of customer service and store appearance standardsnxe2x80xa2 Key holder responsibilities (task assignment and completion, safety, open/close duties)nnSecondary Responsibilitiesnxe2x80xa2 Assist in store inventory processes including POGs, truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, back stock, etc.nxe2x80xa2 Back Up to Professional servicesnxe2x80xa2 Store Cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lotnnSuccess Factorsnxe2x80xa2 Advanced selling skills (GAS3) for DIYnxe2x80xa2 Friendly communicationnxe2x80xa2 Ability to locate and stock partsnxe2x80xa2 Safety knowledge and skillsnxe2x80xa2 Operating inventory systems and store equipmentnxe2x80xa2 Parts and automotive system knowledge skillsnxe2x80xa2 Operating POS and Parts lookup systemsnxe2x80xa2 Expert at testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY servicesnxe2x80xa2 ASE P2 certified or ASE ready equivalentnxe2x80xa2 Advanced solution, project and product quality recommendation abilitynxe2x80xa2 Advanced parts lookup and sourcingnnEssential Job Skills Necessary for Success as a Retail Parts Pronxe2x80xa2 Working knowledge of automotive systems, and diagnostic ability to include: internal engine, suspension, brakes, electronic, exhaust, etc.nxe2x80xa2 Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers and managementnxe2x80xa2 Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals; ability to write simple correspondencenxe2x80xa2 Understand and execute instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formnxe2x80xa2 Successfully complete the Parts Knowledge Assessmentnxe2x80xa2 Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimalsnxe2x80xa2 Use Microsoft software effectively (Word, Excel required)nxe2x80xa2 Strong organizational skillsnxe2x80xa2 Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, weekends and holidays as needednnPrior Experience that Sets a Retail Parts Pro up for Successnxe2x80xa2 3-5 years of prior automotive parts experiencenxe2x80xa2 Proven sales ability with past experience in fulfillment of customer transactionsnEducationnxe2x80xa2 High school diploma or general education degree (GED)nnCertificates, Licenses, Registrationsnxe2x80xa2 ASE certification preferred, but not requirednnPhysical DemandsnThe physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
