What You Will Be Doing
- Attending sales calls via phone and web conferencing
- Conduct technical meetings to define customer needs and technical requirements/compatibilities
- Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education
- Respond to RFPs, prepare quotes, create custom plans for customer requests
- Deliver technically comprehensive product demos as needed
- Provide post-sales assistance and continued product education
- Propose technical business solutions to support sales and marketing
What You Need for this Position
Must Have Skills:
- 4+ years experience as a Sales Engineer in the telecom/VOIP industry
- Strong technical engineering experience in SaaS
- Strong Linux expertise
- Experience with Data Networking, SIP, network protocols (TCP/IP, RTP, etc), networking standards, and hardware
- Experience in customer facing/sales engineer roles
- Exceptional communication and/or technical presentation skills for C-suite/executive level
- Previous work experience at a startup/smaller company
- Experience with Broadsoft, Metaswitch, Cisco, or Avaya VOIP/Phone System products
- Understanding of telecom architecture
- Experience with high availability scenarios
