Position Summary:

Act as an intermediary between customer service, sales and operations providing proactive service support in the resolution internal and external product issues. Work in a manufacturing environment following appropriate policies and procedures to ensure successful execution of position responsibilities.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a central contact point for Customer Service in resolving facility related customer issues working closely with operations, shipping, traffic and quality assurance
  • Coordinate the dissemination of information to various facility departments in relation to big events, product commercialization system and change management, etc., ensuring appropriate departments are aware
  • Provide timely and accurate information to Customer Service on any issues regarding customer orders. Serve as the focal point for communication on new product requests, including timely feedback to the designated Customer Service Manager on the status of requests
  • Monitor and act upon information provided in slow moving production report working with sales and shipping to move aging product
  • Confirm RPA and G/L on complaints
  • Communicate shortages daily with customer service, traffic and distribution managers
  • Responsible for following all food safety policies, procedures and regulatory criteria including the current SQF code, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and associated preventive controls
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Travel may be required

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience; Associates Degree in Business, Accounting, Marketing preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in a high-level customer service position preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Requires exceptional interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel
  • Requires strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Computer literate and familiarity with Microsoft Office tools required
  • Requires knowledge of general accounting principles

Physical Demands:

Regularly requires intermittent sitting, standing, walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling. Physical strength and dexterity sufficient to perform the required task(s). Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more with assistance. Additional demands may be required.

Work Environment:

In addition to normal business hours, work schedules may include after hours and weekends as needed. May work outside and in adverse temperatures which include extreme hot, cold, and humidity. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. Must be willing and able to wear personal protective equipment as required by established Company Safety standards. May require work in confined and dark spaces, and at heights in excess of 18 feet for prolonged periods of time.
