Robert Half has an exciting opportunity for a Sales Assistant position with a Interior Design company in the Chicago, Illinois region. This position is offered on a short-term contract / temporary to full-time basis.

What you get to do every day

Collaborate on interiors projects, including programming client needs, conceptual and schematic design, design development, and management of budgets and schedules. Exceed sales goals given by showroom Work as a team to generate new clients and cultivate sales Assist clients with fabric and furniture selection Check stock, reserves, and sends CFA’s for fabric Write quotes, calculate yardage, and advise lead times on furniture Follow up on quotes and fabric reserves with clients and manufacturers Other Tasks could include:

– Ensuring process completion by assisting with coordinating orders – Drafting correspondence and proofreading documents – Handling and coordinating training courses for internal employees – Providing superior customer service – Generating sales reports and preparing presentations – Supporting the sales department with the promotion of company products and services – Executing any additional Sales Assistant-related tasks as required – Providing support for and participating in trade shows and conventions – Providing administrative, technical and clerical support to sales teams – Handling arrangements for travel and meetings

Job Requirements:
– Advanced Microsoft Office skills
– Demonstrated knowledge of incoming payments
– Earlier work involving Department Files
– Sales Activity experience
– Overdue Payments experience highly preferred
– Good understanding of Administrative Office
– Collecting Payments experience
– Deep understanding of Cash Payments
– Credit Card Payments experience
– Adeptness in Electronic Payments
– Background working with Partial Payments
– General familiarity with Late Payments
– Practical knowledge of Online Payments
– Bill Payment experience
– Skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
– Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures
– Applicants are encouraged to hold a BA/BS degree in business, communications, or a related field
– 3+ years of Sales Assistant experience preferred
– Excellent social skills, project coordination experience and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as with outside clients and vendors
– Ability to multitask, collaborate and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds in a fast-paced environment
