– 5 pm.Travel: Occasional*Must possess a valid driver’s license and must maintain required car insurance.*Alternative locations for this position may be available and are negotiable.Job Responsibilities:+ Regularly visits local offices in an assigned area of the state as a representative of the central agency headquarters to ensure proper interpretation and uniform application of policies, procedures, rules and regulations of the agency, in such program areas as income maintenance, medical assistance, rehabilitative service, court-related and community service, or other human services or human resources programs;+ Regularly conducts frequent on-site reviews of local records, files, and other documents; personally observes work activities of local staff to determine quality and quantity of work performed; analyzes and evaluates both administrative and program plans and operations on an on-going basis;+ Prepares written reports and recommendations for headquarters regarding the general status and progress of each local program for which responsible; presents findings about relevant problems or issues to the state office; as directed, conducts studies and investigations of unusual occurrences or special projects within the assigned program area;+ Advises and may supervise local administrators on all phases of program staffings, organization, and management; conducts local on-site staff meetings and training sessions to provide information about program policies, procedures, etc., and to communicate relevant changes; counsels with local officials about needs and problems at the local level; provides professional advice and guidance to local administrators and professional staff to assure proper management of programs and to improve professional practices and techniques;+ Makes recommendations on developing, preparing and implementing policies, rules, procedures and regulations for administration and supervision of various program activities at the local level; and+ Performs related work as required and assigned.Preferred Minimum QualificationsCompletion of the curriculum requirements for a master?s degree, and 1 year or professional supervisory, managerial, consultative or administrative experience* in public health administration, social work, guidance and counseling, intellectual disability, probation and parole, public administration or personnel administration;oran equivalent combination and experience, substituting 1 additional year of qualifying experience for each year of the required education.*Professional experience in the fields listed must have been the primary job responsibility to be considered as qualifying.
Incidental performance of professional work in any area(s) shall not be considered.* Preference may be given to candidates with supervisory experience in Adult and Family Services Long Term Care related programs such as Nursing Home Services, ADVantage, Home and Community Based Waiver Services and State Plan Personal Care.83005660
