Precertification Representative

The Elkhart Clinic is looking for a Precertification Representative.

Summary of Essential Job Functions for our Precertification Representative:
Performs a variety of specialized clerical tasks involved in obtaining patient financial pre-certification, pre-existing condition determination and authorizations for health care services and procedures; performs accounting tasks to properly settle patient accounts in accordance with established policy for the Clinic and assists with duties in the coding area.
Minimum Requirements for our Precertification Representative :
High School Diploma.
Must be willing to work directly with patients regarding questions, objections, and complaints regarding clinic fees, and insurance issues.
Candidate should possess the following: knowledge of examination, diagnostic, medical terminology, and treatment procedures, CPT and ICD-9 coding, CCI edits and general knowledge of claims processing issues.
Attention to detail a must.
Successful applicant capable of working well with the public in a very fast-paced environment with proper phone etiquette and exceptional customer service skills.
Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations and communicate clearly and precisely.
