Precertification Representative

Centrelake Imaging & Oncology

This is a Contract position in Covina, CA posted February 1, 2022.

SUMMARY STATEMENT

We are looking for a Pre-certification Representative that is punctual, detail oriented, responsible, who can answer the phones, professional, respectful, and be able to multi-task to fill a full time position in our Scheduling department Covina location.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accessing report of Pre-Certification cases pending pre-certification completion
  • Obtaining required documentation such as Patient demographics, insurance information, and referral to begin the Pre-Certification process
  • Calling Insurance provider and obtaining pre-certification details in order to provide services to patients
  • Call Patient’s Primary Care Physician and provide/obtain crucial information needed to complete pre-certification process if required by insurance
  • Must be able to follow up on pending pre-certification requests in a timely manner
  • Will be required to train in our scheduling department to obtain knowledge on scheduling process

REQUIREMENTS

  • Knowledge of radiologic procedures and standards (a plus)
  • Highly skilled in maintaining strong relations with providers and patients
  • Customer service background and focus
  • Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 Codes
  • Medical billing, Insurance verification experience (a plus)
  • Must possess good oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with staff, physicians and patients
  • Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, work well under pressure
  • Bilingual in English/ Spanish a plus

Pay rate varies and is discussed at Interview
