Sales Engineers for ICE Client are the primary technical resource for the account management sales force and provide both pre-sales and post sales activities in the field. Sales Engineers are responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process via proof of concept (PoC) activities and working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate for our solutions. The Sales Engineer must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users and must have the ability to identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process. The Sales Engineer must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the complete sales cycle and post-sales account advocacy process.
: Responsibilities:
Work closely with assigned Regional Sales Managers to drive the sales process
Responsible for development and delivery of product demonstrations
Responsible for representing the product to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, etc.
Able to respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
Able to convey customer requirements to Product Management teams
Install and manage ICE Group client’s equipment for customer PoC evaluations
Preform field service activities for PoC installations and production customers
Able to travel throughout sales territory.
: Qualifications:
Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in enterprise storage sales and related technologies and comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base. A Sales Engineer must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFPs, and when submitting reports. You must be organized and analytical as well as able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches. Technical hands-on skills are highly valued. Extensive travel throughout the region is required.
*3-5+ years relevant technical experience in enterprise storage sales
*Experience with enterprise database, virtualization, or server technologies a must
*Experience and familiarity with flash-based storage technologies a plus
*Proven hands on capabilities with Linux, Windows, SAN and networking technologies
*A B.S. in Computer Science or a related field is a must
