Inside Sales Specialist – White Marsh, Maryland
WHO OUR CLIENT IS:
Search Solution Group is seeking an Inside Sales Specialist for our client who is a supplier of premium wood products.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
An ideal candidate has a great attitude, is friendly, eager to learn about our industry, and has prior success in a customer facing role.
Should have great attention to detail, have exceptional communication skills and takes initiative.
Knowledge of hardwood species and lumber industry is a plus but not mandatory so long as the candidate is willing to learn and is coachable.
An inside sales role can be a precursor to an outside sales position with a specific territory.
Some Responsibilities Include:
Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and current clients.
Support an assigned outside sales team.
Work closely with the Credit Manager to establish credit terms for new and existing Customers.
Coordinate with Shipping Department and Lumber Mill to approve shipments based on credit terms with Customers.
Work with the Credit Department in calling Customers to discuss credit balances
HOW YOU ARE QUALIFIED:
Education:
B.S.
or B.A.
degree
Experience:
2 years inside sales experience in lumber industry
Additional Skills:
Personally motivated, dedicated, energetic and organized
Pleasant demeanor and savvy interpersonal skills
Articulate, strong verbal and written communication skills
Work independently with limited guidance
Excellent Math skills to determine measurements, board footage, lineal footage, and piece counts for accurate billing and data entry into software systems.
Computer skills with the ability to learn different software programs.
