Direct Lending Sales Assistant-Tigard

This is a Full-time position in Tigard, OR posted January 18, 2022.

In this role, you will drive business and loans by calling and marketing to existing clients and non-customers for mortgage loans.

This position will work directly with a direct lending loan officer to help drive in more mortgage loan applications to the assigned direct lending loan officer.**Functions**+ Responsible for making cold and warm calls to leads with in the lead management systems to set appointments for direct lending loan officer.+ Facilitate marketing activities including but not limited to Client Relationship Management (software), flyers, newsletters, networking opportunities, social media, etc.+ Assist direct lending loan officer in drip campaigns and follow up with all internal referral partners including stores, private bank, commercial, etc.+ Drive new application appointments for direct lending loan officer.+ Monitor prospects that may be interested in a new home loan.

Responsible for continued follow up until the client is ready to proceed.+ Responsible for compliance with all Federal, State and local consumer protection laws governing loan origination including the SAFE Act, the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), their implementing regulations (Regulations G and Z), and SAFE Act registration and renewal as defined by the Bank.+ Demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations that apply to your position and keep up to date on regulation changes.+ Maintain working knowledge of our policies and procedures regarding the Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations that apply to your position.**Qualifications**+ Requires high school diploma or GED.+ 0-1 years of experience in telemarketing; both warm and cold calls.+ Ability to demonstrate a high level of organization, attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness, with the ability to multi-task.+ Ability to complete work in a timely manner, consistently meeting strict deadlines, and perform in a high production environment.

Ability to work independently.+ Knowledge of Home Lending department/function, documentation, and processes, plus proficiency in preparing related reports and documents preferred.+ Possess strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the company to manage internal and external customer relationships.+ Must be registered as a MLO as per the S.A.F.E.

Act requirements.**Registered Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO)**+ This position requires you to act as a Bank MLO, which is defined as an individual authorized by the Bank to take mortgage loan applications, offer a mortgage, arrange a mortgage, assist a consumer in obtaining or applying to obtain a mortgage, negotiate a mortgage, otherwise obtain or make a mortgage for another person, represent to the public (through advertising or other means of communication) that such person can or will perform any of these activities, or refer a consumer to a loan originator (Note: Except those employees of the Bank who do not discuss particular credit terms available and do not refer the consumer, based on the employee’s assessment of the consumer’s financial characteristics to a particular Bank MLO) for compensation or gain.

All MLOs will be required to register as an MLO complying with the SAFE Act requirements.+ This position IS authorized to act as a Bank Closed-End MLO, which is defined as any position designated to perform the activities of a Bank MLO for closed-end transactions, and thus subject to specific Truth-in-Lending Act and Regulation Z Loan Originator requirements.**Physical Requirements and Working Conditions**Work involves:+ sitting+ walking+ lifting up to 25 pounds.+ Occasional travelNo relocation offered.**About Us**We do things a little differently here at Umpqua.
