Collections Representative

Pate Rehabilitation is currently hiring a Full-Time Collections Representative to join our Anna, Texas location. Hours are M-F 8:00am-5:00pm.

Job Duties:

1. Assist in all aspects of billing and maintaining accurate billing records/files.

2. Assist in maintaining billing data in computer program (Centricity). Re-issue bills as required. Enter detailed collections notes.

3. Pursue overdue accounts.

4. Respond to denial of payment with appropriate protests. Keep detailed records of all denied claims.

5. Maintain tracking files for AR.

6. File all related documentation into patient billing files.

7. Assist Admissions staff on questions of eligibility, benefit identification, payor practices, etc.

8. Support Billing Specialist and Billing & Collections Clerk as indicated.

9. Fax claims, email, and./or mail information as requested by insurance companies/referral source.

10. Other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Insurance experience is required
• 3 years’ experience in medical billing/collections or related field.
• Computer literate.
• Pass all pre-employment and employment verifications.
