And that trend is only increasing in 2021!

Not only are more people buying online, but they are spending more when buying online.

Our customers and potential customers are responding to a new world and many have inadequate technology or no technology at all.

Many eCommerce leaders are being asked, for the first time, to provide insights and analytics to their CEO’s and boards and they are coming to Profitero for help.

To capitalize on this demand which is forecast to continue, we are looking for business development representatives in the US to drive our continued growth.

This role will play a pivotal part in the continued success of our business.

Profitero is the leading global provider of eCommerce intelligence for global brands and retailers.

Profitero provides global brands with critical eCommerce insights, helping to enhance their online sales and market positioning.

We deliver key online metrics, including pricing, product content quality, search ranking, share of online shelf and promotions, in any country and from any online or multichannel retailer.

We currently collect online insights from 450 million product pages at more than 8,000 online retailers in over 50 countries worldwide every day.

Position location; Remote with trips to the US office in Boston, Massachusetts.

Profile

The ideal candidates will be a recent graduate who is actively seeking a Software, SaaS or eCommerce career.

We are looking for a Business Development Representative to act as the liaison between our Sales and Marketing teams.

Your role will be to seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers.

This role requires an individual who is extremely motivated, has excellent written communication skills, is charismatic over the phone, and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Qualify Inbound leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
    • Outbound prospecting: combining cold calling, email & social media campaigns in order to drive engagement
  • Working with Account Executives to help drive key account engagement
  • Hold discovery calls to qualify leads and prospects, to determine whether there is a sales opportunity
  • To continue to develop new, innovative ways of engaging prospects
    • Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
  • Build long-term trusting relationships with clients
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients
  • Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans Qualified candidates will possess :
  • BA/BS degree required
    – strong academic track record & extracurricular activities a plus
    • An aptitude for sales
  • Track record of achieving academically, in sports or extracurriculars
  • Excellent communication skills in person and over the phone
  • Ability to prioritize work assignments and shift work efforts based on the needs of the department or business goals
  • Ability to manage time effectively, work independently and be self-motivated In addition, the following will be an advantage:
  • BA/BS degree required
    – strong academic track record & extracurricular activities a plus
    • Business applications knowledge; CRM would be a distinct advantage (SalesForce, Outreach, ZoomInfo, Sales Navigator)
  • Keen understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Experienced in a technology sales environment
