The account executive’s responsibilities include managing and guiding all aspects of projects from inception through execution, cultivating of internal, as well as external (client and partners) relationships, and ultimately, ensuring that we drive our clients’ business.
Employees in the Account Executive position are tasked with the primary goal of becoming knowledgeable of agency processes and the fundamentals of agency interaction and project management.
In this role, it is imperative to solidly execute client assignments, maintain effective internal and external communication, and to begin to proactively contribute to the strategic thinking needed in more senior positions.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Adhere to the Agency process on how to successfully follow it and implement it.
- Execute day-to-day assignments given by the Client, ensuring that all deliverables are met on time and to project specifications.
- Effectively communicate project expectations and deliverables within the Agency and with the rest of the team.
- Maintain day-to-day conversations with Clients.
- Ensure that, at all times, status reports and monthly billing and budget summaries are up-to-date and error-free.
- Ensure that all internal and external meetings are scheduled and all parties notified of the time, location, and expected contributions (e.g.
meeting agenda, etc.) and all documentation is prepared in advance.
- Approve and review all billing documentation (purchase orders, estimates, invoices, etc.) prior to viewing by a Senior Account Executive and/or Supervisor.
- Aid Sr.
Account Executive/Account Supervisor/Director in the collective development of strategic documentation.
- Create an environment where an Account Coordinator can learn and grow from the Account Executive and, in so doing, take on new assignments and responsibilities.
- Review and improve upon all documentation (presentations, timelines, estimates, conference reports, change orders, media briefs, etc.) prepared by an Account Coordinator prior to review by a Sr.
AE/Supervisor.
- Provide consistent and timely updates to management to ensure that they are aware of accomplishments, obstacles, and overall account activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-3 years experience in account management
- Solid understanding of agency process
- Basic understanding of the principles of advertising concepting and production, media planning and execution, research, trafficking, etc.
across all media types-broadcast, digital, mobile, social, etc.
