Toy Retail Salesperson

Hi! Nice to meet you. Rhen’s Nest is a toy shop rooted in the concept of #unpluggedplay. We are looking for a part-time sales associate for our Ponce City Market shop.

What does the job of Toy Salesperson entail at Rhen’s Nest?

Fun! We are looking for special spirits that like to connect with people and enjoy playing with toys! Being around kids and families and engaging them is part of the job, so we are seeking vibrant personalities to match our fun-loving environment.

Key Expectations for our team:

• Able to work 15-20 hours per week, mostly weekends. Day, evening and weekend shift availability are a must.
• Prior retail experience needed. Rhen’s Nest believes in hiring long-term employees; our ideal candidate will have a work history that reflects this, as well.
• Assists customers in selecting merchandise, while providing in-depth information about the product. We do not up-sale.
• Ensures that Rhen’s Nest’s highest level of customer service standards are upheld by attending to the customers’ wants and needs, listening closely to details to find the most appropriate selection for them, and providing more thorough product knowledge when required.
• Completes customer sales transactions (cash, credit, debit, etc.). Assists with customer service inquiries and online orders.
• Maintains store appearance, following neat visual standards, and assists in processing and replenishing merchandise.
• Upholds strict COVID-19 protection protocol, ensuring the health of ourselves and our customers, by wearing a mask at all times and keeping hands clean, and by requesting ALL customers do the same upon entering the store, as well as following social distancing guidelines whenever possible. Looking for mindful, responsible people who take others’ well-being seriously in all forms!
• Helps to enhance a team environment by respecting co-workers. We do not work on commission. No sales competition between team members. Just teamwork!
• Adheres to Rhen’s Nest brand values, standard Sales Associate competencies, and best practices of corporate culture.
• Adheres to company policy and procedures relating to inventory control.
• Must be a self-motivated problem solver with an uplifting disposition, positive outlook, and enthusiasm for helping others and having fun!

Other job duties required will be arranged by store management as needed.
