JOB DETAILS – Retail Thrift Store Mgr.:
- Full Time. Work location: Enfield, CT
- Manages all aspects of operation of Allied’s Attic Thrift Store.
- Plans and prepares work schedules and assigns employees to specific duties.
- Formulates pricing policies on merchandise according to requirements for profitability of store operations.
- Coordinates sales promotion activities and prepares, or directs workers preparing, merchandise displays and advertising copy.
- Supervises employees engaged in sales work, taking of inventories, reconciling cash with sales receipts, keeping operating records, or preparing daily record of transactions.
- Appraises performance of assigned staff.
- Prepares requisitions to replenish or purchase operational supplies or equipment.
- Researches and develops additional retail opportunities.
- Ensures compliance of employees and participants with established safety, security, sales, and record keeping procedures and practices. Maintains the general safety and well-being of staff.
- Protects the property of Allied Rehabilitation Centers, Inc. through the implementation and utilization of internal controls procedures.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma/GED; college or equivalent experience preferred.
- Supervisory experience in retail or human services.
- Have the ability to multi-task, organize, and coordinate daily department workload.
COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:
- You’ll need to demonstrate a high level of knowledge in retail customer service and services to people with disabilities.
- You must be able to interact professionally, tactfully and efficiently with co-workers, program participants, legal representatives, providers and community members.
