Hiring immediately!Our Sous Chefs utilize their culinary talents and managerial skills to run the day-to-day operation of the Sushi department, in partnership with the main Kitchen.

In this role, you will oversee a team of cooks and passionate employees to ensure we are using the highest quality fish and other ingredients to create the best and most flavorful Sushi to serve to our customers.

What will I do?Be actively involved in the day-to-day running of the Sushi kitchen operation within our elaborate and fascinating Restaurant Foods DepartmentInspire our customers to prepare products successfully at home by offering meal suggestions and cooking techniquesOversee the Sushi Operation to drive sales, share the company vision with employees and supervise the team to maximize efficiencyEnsure products are prepared with consistency, high-quality and are eye-appealing to our customers using Wegmans extensive library of recipes and techniquesCreate excitement and educate others about new programs at Wegmans Required Experience:Lead Cook experience with supervisory experiencesKnife Skills Preferred Experience:Diverse culinary experience, including experience making sushi and other types of Japanese cuisineHighly proficient in cutting and working with whole fishExperience overseeing the daily operations of a large teamAt Wegmans, we believe that if we take care of our people, theyll take care of our customers.
