We encourage work-life balance and strive to ensure all employees feel valued, recognized and respected within our team.Responsibilities:Oversee all day-to-day operations of the kitchenAssist the executive chef in menu concept development: conception, demo, implementation, and rolling-out, while innovating, tweaking & sustaining these conceptsAssist the executive chef and chef team in planning layouts, designs & equipping kitchens for optimal efficiencyManage kitchen talent search, on-boarding, performance & off-boardingTrain kitchen staff in all necessary areas for success in their jobsHandle kitchen payroll, cost of goods budgeting, optimization & controlEnsure total customer satisfaction for all items prepared, as well as all written & verbal communicationBalance empowering and supporting micro-chef/entrepreneurs while at the same time managing the Unfurl brands for growthQualifications:Passion for good foodCan work autonomously as well as part of a teamExperience in contributing to menu development and kitchen managementStrong working knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and safety and sanitation practicesHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) requiredCulinary certification or degree from a culinary school preferred3+ years food service or restaurant experience requiredCurrently ServSafe certifiedAbility to read, comprehend, and follow recipesAbility to lift and carry up to 50 poundsComfortable standing, stopping, squatting, twisting, and moving frequently
