We are looking for a kitchen leader who can build up, train and inspire our already excellent kitchen team! This person will lead by example with clear communication & positive reinforcement working side-by-side during service with your team. This role will also include handling critical administrative tasks such as ordering, reporting and staff scheduling. The ideal candidate is someone who can engage with both FOH and BOH staff to bridge the gap between the demands of service and the capabilities of our kitchen and take responsibility for managing and overseeing all kitchen operations.Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):Manage kitchen employees and scheduling, filling in on the line when neededMentoring and delegating to staff to help them grow their skills and work ethicEnsuring quality control of menu items by cooking with the team on the line and in the prep kitchen, tasting food before it goes out & making sure everything served meets our standardsImplement and uphold sanitation and food storage policies in line with current health code regulationsMaintain an organized inventory and track usage, costs & loss for food and materialsMaintain a food delivery schedule that ensures the kitchen is always prepared for service and minimizes supply runsAssist in the organization and menu development of private event and banquet operationsWork directly with management team on creative solutions to menu development and implementationWork with the management team to develop long term strategies for growth and development of the businessFacilitate and participate in weekly meetings with staff, owners and GMResearch and present new and innovative ways to elevate the menu and service in generalQualifications:Full-time availabilityExceptional interpersonal communication and leadership skillsAbility to maintain a positive and professional attitude under pressure.
