PRIMARY PURPOSE:As a Cook Helper, you will be responsible for being knowledgeable of food products.
You will also set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service.
By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensure requisitions are processed properly and placed in designated areaMaintain solid knowledge of food productsIdentify and safely use kitchen equipmentRegularly run for food and restock kitchen supplies and food items required for serviceProperly label and date products to ensure safekeeping and sanitationAssist the pantry worker, cook, master cook and chef as needed in execution of serviceWork as a team, assist guests and employees with their needs and inquiriesPerform other job-related duties as requested KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Ability to apply basic knife skills for preparationMaintain a solid menu knowledge and attention to detail with plate presentationCommunicate with management, chef and service staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and employeesKnowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulationsAble to take initiative and exhibit flexibilityHighly motivated and energetic personalityExcellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays PREFERRED:High school diploma or equivalentSix (6) months of experience in basic food preparationExperience working in a similar resort setting
