A specialty food manufacturer with a primary focus on bakery products, supplying the Foodservice, Hospitality, Travel and Leisure channels. Responsibilities: Overall responsibility for the department. Maintain, repair, and install plant equipment and facilities using preventative maintenance and routine maintenance systems. Improve and implement maintenance procedures. Plan and install machinery and parts in line with design plans and timescales minimizing risk of product, packing and equipment contamination and downtime. Oversee the plant sanitation program developing, implementing, and monitoring cleaning practices for the building, grounds, equipment, and utensils. Supervise, coordinate, and train the sanitation team. Maintain master cleaning schedule, sanitation reports, and chemical control program meeting FDA, OSHA and EPA critical standards and inspections. Participate on the Food Safety Team and Safety Committee.Qualifications: BSE Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or similar.3+ years of hands-on experience in a bakery foods manufacturing facility.Planning the maintenance operations, repairing electro-mechanical industrial machinery, and troubleshooting skills.Hands-on electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding experience.Able to read electrical diagrams or schematics.Experience in refrigeration, HVAC, and facility maintenance.5+ years of supervisory experience, teaching, training direct reports, promoting safety, selecting, and working with outside vendors.Knowledge of OSHA, HACCP, GMP and plant sanitation guidelines.Reports to the Plant Manager. Salary: $125,000 $135,000 + 10% bonus potential, 100% Basic medical, 50% dental and vision coverage for the employee. Family option. PTO 15 days + 6 paid holidays.Relocation assistance.
