The Events Line Cook is responsible for successfully executing menu items for corporate and social winery events, as designed by the Chef de Cuisine (CDC), at our beautiful historic winery!
This part-time non-exempt position reports directly to the Sous Chef and takes direction from all culinary leadership positions with key interaction with members of every department.
This position will work from both the Los Gatos Winery and off-site kitchen in San Jose.
Days and hours are dependent on event bookings.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
-Uniformly and efficiently execute final execution and plating of salads, entrees, appetizers and desserts and buffet items based on the design of the CDC
-Setup, breakdown and clean-up/sanitation of satellite kitchen and corresponding areas
-Take specific direction on food preparation and presentation
-Maintain proper organization and rotation of all food storage areas
-Remove and organize all food items from the catering van upon its’ arrival
-Report inventory levels of food items to the CDC
-Work quickly and efficiently in a face-paced environment
-Work in offsite kitchen to prepare menu items and assist with other culinary tasks when required and assigned
